Introducing Emily

Welcome! I'm Emily - a singer, actor, and voice teacher based in Schenectady, NY. I received my Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and Master of Arts in Music with a focus in Acting, both from the Greatbatch School of Music at Houghton University.
It was in high school drama club that I truly discovered my passion for theatre. Performing in both plays and musicals gave me an outlet to express myself in a completely new way. In 2018 I was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in the Schenectady Light Opera Company (SLOC) High School Musical Theater Awards for my role as Vi Moore in Footloose: the Musical. Since then, I have gone on to perform in a variety of other shows including Pyramus & Thisbe (2021), an original operetta written by Drew Bundy based on William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, where I originated the role of Thisbe.
In addition to acting onstage, I also have love to direct. Since 2023, I have worked as the assistant music director and production assistant for the Schalmont High School Drama Club. For the past two years, I have also served as the music director for the Schenectady City School District's Summer Enrichment Theatre Camp, which is always a blast! Additionally, I have worked as the assistant director for several productions produced by the Houghton University Lyric Theatre, including La Serva Padrona, Alice by Heart, and An Evening of Opera & Shakespeare.
I absolutely love what I do, and am eternally grateful for every opportunity I have to create art with wonderful and talented humans!
